eFootball lates POTW pack National teams October 8 2026
Every now and then, Konami drops a Players of the Week pack that makes the whole community stop and talk. This week’s POTW pack is one of those drops. Players call it one of the most stacked POTW packs in recent memory, and after opening it myself, I understand why.
I cleared the whole pack and used most of the players already. I haven’t tested Wirtz and Lewandowski yet, since I pulled them last. I’ll share my honest thoughts on every card below. I’ll also tell you who should spend coins here and who should skip it.
Why This Pack Gets So Much Praise
Most POTW packs give you one or two good cards and a lot of filler. This one breaks that pattern. You can clear the entire pack, and almost every card feels useful. That makes the pack feel fair, because you don’t need to chase luck through endless pulls.
The value stands out for two groups. Free-to-play players get several endgame-level cards for a small coin price. Casual spenders also win because they fill many squad holes in one go. Few packs offer that much variety.
Top-Tier Chase Cards (S-Tier)
eFootball Latest POTW Pack Lionel Messi (Creative Playmaker)
This Messi card blew me away. I already own the 105-rated Prolific Winger version. That card feels more agile when I dribble and run. Still, the new Creative Playmaker card has much better stats than many of his earlier POTW versions.
He also plays in many roles. Konami enabled SS, AMF, RWF, and RMF for him. That flexibility lets you fit him into almost any formation. Community members also mention that this is his last POTW card in the Argentina jersey, which adds some collector value.
If you pull him, treat him like an Epic card. He plays better than many of the Epic cards Konami gave away for free. His speed sits a little below the Prolific Winger version, but his creativity makes up for it.
READ ALSO: Fix eFootball Running in Slow Motion After Update (PC/Steam)
Recent updates introduced a bug that makes eFootball run in severe slow motion during matches. Sometimes the game just stutters instead. Either way, the menus stay smooth while the actual gameplay drags. Not everyone hits this bug. The problem mostly hits PC players who run the game through Steam. It hits hardest on systems with newer Intel processors that have both Performance cores (P-cores) and Efficient cores (E-cores). Players who run the Microsoft Store version report far fewer problems. I should be honest here. Konami hasn’t confirmed an official cause. Everything below comes from community reports, so results will vary from PC to PC. Still, these fixes have helped a lot of players, and they cost nothing to try.
Florian Wirtz (Deep-Lying Forward / Creative Playmaker)
I haven’t used this Wirtz yet, but I expect him to surprise me most. I already played his Creative Playmaker card with Germany. This new version has slightly better stats. I also read that his Deep-Lying Forward version with Liverpool plays very well.
His dribbling and agility numbers look strong across his core attributes. Players also praise his smooth movement on the pitch. The thread author gave him a 9 out of 10, which tells you how high the hype runs.
eFootball Latest POTW Pack Harry Kane (Fox in the Box)
I never used the Fox in the Box playstyle before this week. Kane changed that. Konami usually gives him a Deep-Lying Forward style, so this version feels fresh.
His passing impressed me first. His speed, shooting, and physical stats also stand out. He scores, he assists, and he wins duels. He works as an elite option at CF or SS. Honestly, he plays like a beast.
Gianluigi Donnarumma (Goalkeeper)
Top POTW goalkeepers rarely appear, so this card draws a lot of attention. I own the POTS Courtois, and I still think Donnarumma plays at an incredible level. He holds his own against the best keepers in the game.
If you pull him, don’t complain. He fits the goalkeeper role very well. F2P players get the most value here, because a strong keeper upgrades the whole defense.
Strong Midfield and Utility Picks (A-Tier)
eFootball Latest POTW Pack Rodri
I own the National Teams Selection version of Rodri. If you missed that pack, this card gives you a very similar player. The new version comes with higher speed and better mobility. Players report an 88 speed rating. He also adds better shooting skills, like Long-Range Curler and First-Time Shot.
The old card keeps a small edge in defensive stats. You can also train it into a CB. Even so, the new card feels much less sluggish in midfield. Most players prefer the extra speed.
eFootball Latest POTW Pack Kevin De Bruyne
De Bruyne’s speed and agility feel much better than on some of his past cards. Konami also gave him Double Touch, which adds a big dribbling bonus. He carries the Interceptor skill too, so he helps your defense more than usual.
He still scores absolute bangers from outside the box. That skill alone makes him worth a spot in your lineup.
eFootball Latest POTW Pack João Cancelo
Cancelo plays as an excellent attacking fullback. Konami enabled RMF for him, so he fits fluid formations perfectly. He doesn’t defend very well. But he adds a lot going forward, and he creates chances from the wing.
eFootball Latest POTW Pack Milos Kerkez
Kerkez gives you a fast and physical left-back. He carries 81 in both Physical Contact and Balance. He also has Pinpoint Crossing and solid defensive skills. If your left side needs help, he fills that gap nicely.
Niche and Budget Pulls
eFootball Latest POTW Pack Teun Koopmeiners
In real life, Koopmeiners plays at an outstanding level. It’s a shame that Konami doesn’t enable all of his positions, like fullback. In the game, he works well at CB and DMF. He also brings some good skills.
His biggest weakness is the missing defensive playstyle. That hurts his value in a team. Still, he stays usable. He feels like a lightweight box-to-box midfielder.
eFootball Latest POTW Pack Robert Lewandowski
I haven’t tested Lewandowski yet. His stats look solid, with most numbers above 80. Passing and balance sit lower. He doesn’t have 90 speed, and he lacks dribbling skills.
If you love fast forwards who dribble past defenders, you won’t like this card. If you prefer a classic finisher who relies on positioning, he could work well for you.
Should You Spend Your Coins Here?
This question splits the community, so let me break it down.
Spend your coins if you:
- Play as a beginner or F2P player.
- Need an instant squad upgrade.
- Want four or five endgame cards for around 1,000 to 1,100 coins.
That price offers unmatched value. Very few packs give you this many useful players for this little.
Skip the pack if you:
- Already own top Epic cards.
- Run a stacked squad with few weak spots.
- Plan to save coins for a long-term target pack.
If you already have most of these roles filled, you gain less from this pack. Save your coins for something that targets your exact needs.
Quick Summary Table
| Player | Playstyle | Tier | Rating (out of 10) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lionel Messi | Creative Playmaker | S | 9.5 |
| Florian Wirtz | Deep-Lying Forward / Creative Playmaker | S | 9 |
| Harry Kane | Fox in the Box | S | 9 |
| Gianluigi Donnarumma | Goalkeeper | S | 9 |
| Rodri | Midfielder | A | 8.5 |
| Kevin De Bruyne | Midfielder | A | 8.5 |
| João Cancelo | Attacking Fullback | A | 8 |
| Milos Kerkez | Left-Back | A | 8 |
| Teun Koopmeiners | Box-to-Box Midfielder | Situational | 6.5 |
| Robert Lewandowski | Striker | Situational | 7 |
These ratings reflect my own opinion and the community feedback I’ve seen. Your playstyle might change the numbers. A slow, patient player will rate Lewandowski higher than a speed-focused player.
Finally
Konami knocked this one out of the park. The pack offers great variety, strong playstyles, and real usefulness across every part of the pitch. You get forwards, playmakers, fullbacks, and a top goalkeeper in one release. That mix rarely happens.
For most players, the pack is absolutely worth the coins. Beginners and F2P players benefit the most. Experienced players with stacked squads can still enjoy it, but they might wait for something more targeted.
Did you open the pack yet? Tell me who you pulled and how they feel in your lineup. I’d love to hear which card surprised you the most.
