Samsung Galaxy S26 Release Date
Following the success of the S24 and S25, Samsung is now making the Samsung Galaxy S26 Series. It will continue this popular phone series. Samsung users worldwide are curious and can’t help but speculate on the possible hardware features, specifications, and improvements that will be made on the S26 to make it better than the already high-performing S25 series.
It is expected that the Samsung company will announce the S26 on 25 February 2026. Rumors, however, have it that the company is planning to keep the fanbase waiting till 11 March 2026 before releasing the much-awaited device into the market.
Samsung Galaxy S26, Expected Weight
How will the Samsung S26 appear physically? How different will it be from the S25? Samsung enthusiasts can’t help asking such questions. The S26 is expected to weigh around 167 g (5.89 oz). This is slightly different from the 62 g (5.71 oz), 190 g (6.70 oz), 218 g (7.69 oz), and 163 g (5.75 oz) of the Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, and S25 edge, respectively.
Samsung Galaxy S26, Expected Build
We expect that the tech giants will produce the S26 with a glass front made of Gorilla Armor 2 and a glass back made of Gorilla Glass Victus 2 held together by an aluminum frame. The phone should be IP68 dust-tight and water-resistant. We expect it to be able to withstand immersion in 1.5m deep water for up to 30 minutes. The dimensions we should expect are 149.6 x 71.7 x 7.2 mm (5.89 x 2.82 x 0.28 in).
Samsung S26, Display
Samsung has always boasted impressive displays. For the S26, it is expected that it will be produced with a Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X, 120Hz, HDR10+, 2600 nits (peak). The screen size will be 6.3 inches (96.5 cm)2, with a 90.0% screen-to-body ratio. The display of the S26 will be 1080 x 2340 pixels, 19.5:9 ratio (~411 ppi density). This display is expected to be protected by Corning Gorilla Armor 2. What most Samsung enthusiasts must be wondering is whether the curved nature of the predecessor will be maintained. The answer is a negative one. The S26 will have a screen as flat as a tabletop but with more rounded corners. The design is intended to improve handling.

Samsung S26 OS
The Samsung S26 will run on iOS. Excuse the joke. It’s common knowledge that Samsung is an Android brand and one of the brands that actually makes Android competitive against the prestigious iOS. The S26 will run on the Android 16 operating system with up to 7 major upgrades and one UI 8.5.
Chipset and GPU
The S26 will most likely use the Qualcomm SM8850-AC Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (3 nm) in the rest of the world and the Exynos 2600 (2 nm) in Europe. The central processing unit for the S26 will be octa-core (2×4.74 GHz Oryon V3 Phoenix L + 6×3.62 GHz Oryon V3 Phoenix M) for the rest of the world, while Europe will be using 10-core (1×3.80 GHz C1-Ultra & 3×3.25 GHz C1-Pro & 6×2.75 GHz C1-Pro). Samsung S26 is also expected to have an Adreno 840 graphics processing unit for the rest of the world and Xclipse 960 for Europe.
Samsung S26 Storage
How much room do we get for files and applications on the Samsung S26? First of all, there will be no memory card slot. The company believes the internal 256 GB storage should be more than enough for the users’ files. There will be an option for the 512GB phone for those who find the 256GB storage insufficient. The phone will have 12 GB RAM, ensuring smooth multitasking and gaming.
